Last weekend I was interviewed for ON THE PAGE. It’s now live on iTunes! We talk about how I shot my series “Laps” on an iPhone.

We had an extremely busy—and productive—weekend of preproduction. We had two fantastic rehearsals with our supporting cast, an informative first test shoot with the new equipment, and a wonderful casting session.

We’re proud to announce Kayla Holsey has been cast as Annie!  

Rehearsal Days:
These rehearsal days saw us working with the new faces to the series. New characters—Joe, Ben, Josi, Cindy, and Adam—each got to meet and do their first work with each other and the original cast. Things went very well, a promising start to a great show.

Test shoot:
We finally got to “play” with the center piece of this season…the Canon 5D Mark II. We did some fooling around in different locales with some lighting set ups and the new sound equipment (note—the mic we received was discovered to be defective and caused some sound defects, a new one is on the way).

Principal photography for season 2 of Laps begins June 2013!  From now until then, more rehearsals, character profile videos, promo and a new trailer!

Laps has the honor of screening at BigScreen LittleScreen tomorrow at the James Cagney Boardroom in SAG/AFTRA!  197 attending and only 3 spots left.

This past weekend me, Erik Urtz and Art Hall began the first stage of PRE-PRODUCTION on season 2 of Laps.  We did location scouting, script breakdown and scheduling.  There’s still a lot more to do!
